Kamal Vasagiri

Kamal has an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Utah State University where he was the recipient of the Presidential Fellowship, and a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from JNTU, India.

Biography

Kamal Vasagiri has 20 years of combined experience in Venture Capital, Entrepreneurship, Product Management and Software Engineering.

He brings expertise investing in Early (including Incubation) to Growth stage startups and portfolio management.

Kamal is also a venture partner with Yaletown Venture Partners – covering growth investments in United States for the Canadian Venture Capital firm investing at the intersection of technology and the built world.

A Kauffman Fellow, Kamal has several years of investing experience covering the Enterprise Software space working at GE Ventures and Honeywell Ventures where he was most recently leading investments. Kamal led the group of investors at Honeywell Ventures which has seen multiple exits in areas such as AI, Supply Chain and Quantum computing.

Earlier in his career, after spending 10 years in Engineering and Product Management at Companies such as Prudential Financial and Oracle – Kamal founded an EdTech SAAS startup and has built a significant network of Founders/Operators and Investors.
